Model Spotlight

Black History Month with Erotic Medusa

She gets into mythology, tarot, Kwanzaa, and more!

By Pornhub | February 25, 2025 | 5 minutes

Our final Model Spotlight honoring Black History Month is on Erotic Medusa. You may have seen her videos with Pornhub Brand Ambassador Ricky Johnson, or in studio productions like Digital Playground. She is a new mom and a lover of astrology and Kwanzaa (an annual celebration of African American culture). Erotic Medusa shares how the industry has changed for Black folks, and how Pornhub has helped her drive traffic to other sites. We also learn about her goal to get back into content creation after healing from birth, and more!

First things first, congratulations on becoming a mom to a baby boy! How are you adapting to this exciting new chapter of your life?

Aww! Thank you so much! I’m so excited to wake up to my little one every day. Each day is an adjustment as I’m relearning how to balance the days. I now have to plan my yoga, showers, and personal relationship quality time in between naps. Which over time I’m sure will get easier!

How do you balance motherhood with content creation?

At the moment I’m not filming or creating anything. I’m giving myself the proper time to heal from pregnancy and childbirth. In the future, hopefully in 2026, I’ll be figuring out how I’d like my days to look aligned with motherhood and content creation.

Putting yourself first, we love that! How did you come up with the name Erotic Medusa? Do you feel a connection to the mythological character?

Yes, I connect to Medusa’s story but also her power. She was known for turning men to stone that came to hurt her, but before she turned them to stone, she was seductive about her appearance. That inspired me to take her name as I too enjoy seducing people to look at me and, in a way, turn parts of them into stone!

A very fitting name! Who were the creators that inspired you to join the industry and keep going?

Ricky Johnson motivated me to do my first mainstream scene with Ricky’s Room. I was so nervous, but him being someone I’m in a relationship with, I trusted his lead. After that experience I got so excited to do more and evolve my name outside of the OF world. I look up to creators like Elly Clutch, Angela White, Jasmine Sherni, and Emma Magnolia as my motivation to keep going.

Have you seen a correlation between video views on our platform and a growth of subscribers to your fan sites and socials since uploading videos on Pornhub?

Yes, I’ve seen a significant difference! I love it when my fans come to my site letting me know that they saw one of my videos on Pornhub, and it made them want to see more of what I have to offer. I’m very grateful for the growth I’ve received from Pornhub to my fansite and socials.

Nice! Now in celebration of Black History Month and the amazing talent within our industry, who are some Black Performers we should all have on our radar in 2025?

I would have to say first Ricky Johnson. Then the amazing Willow Ryder, Baby Gemini, Leah Michelle, and Nicole Kitt.

What are some steps studios, platforms, and sex workers can make to help shape the industry in positive ways and dismantle racism?

Less labeling of the performer. Like less of being the best Black performer and more of the best performer.

Do you feel like the industry has made any progress in terms of how Black Performers are being represented?

They are allowed to do more in the industry now, so more performers of color are doing things other than just performing. Black performers are taking director and agent roles or building their own websites. The talent are taking more control of their brands.

Taking control of your own brand and skillset is essential to empowerment. And speaking of skills, we heard you’re a tarot reader and astrologer! How have these practices helped enrich your life?

I just love astrology! I like to do new and full moon rituals where I sit and learn about how the solar alignment might be influencing the energy in my life, so that I can think about how I’d like to manifest new changes or let things go that are holding me back. Self-tarot reading keeps me grounded when I’m feeling chaotic and looking for direct answers to what’s going on in my life in that moment.

We noticed on social media that you celebrate Kwanzaa! Tell us about some of the traditions and rituals you do to celebrate.

I love celebrating Kwanzaa! It’s a non-materialistic holiday that is shaped around 7 principles of how to show up in life being your best authentic self. I take joy in setting up a beautiful Kwanzaa table alter filled with art, books, flowers, fruit and candles. Each day of Kwanzaa I have a zoom call with my family where we discuss the Kwanzaa principle of the day and listen to how that principle may have impacted our lives that year. Kwanzaa motivates me to do volunteer work, be artistic, support my fellow Black owned businesses, and so much more.

With all these big changes recently, what would you like to accomplish in the next 5 years?

I’m so excited for my future post-partum. 2025 is my recovery and healing year. I’m hoping to make an entrance back into the industry 2026 as a performer and creator. I’m aiming to win awards like girl-girl performer of the year, hottest newcomer, and more. The next 5 years I plan to be fully career focused not just in the adult industry, but my yoga/fitness lifestyle as well. All while of course finding the balance of home and family.
